Adding manually

Postby ea » Mar 10 06 2:21 am

Hi folks

I have a large list of sites to ban, but instead of adding them, one by one in the System Policies. Does anyone know which file saves the banned sites, so I can add them manually.

Thanks for your time

They're saved in the registry. You can add a few, export the appropriate registry key (Let me know where you want to add the list to for the right key) then use a text editor to search/replace to create an easy import with everything in it.

Ok. Add one or two using GateKeeper then have a look at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\DefaultRights\Access\Recipient0\BanFilter

It should be Recipient0, but if not should be under that key. Then export, modify as required and import. Please ensure you have the appropriate backups/system restore points set as you will be editing the registry.
