Help making wingate...

Postby moe21 » Apr 13 06 3:24 pm

Alright im a little new to wingate. I know it is possible to do this but i don't know how because im new to it. I want to make my computer with wingate to be a router. i want it to do all the things a router would i can just access it and use it as a computer. I know you have to make wingate a server. I want to know if there is a good step by step process. I want it to actually act as a wireless router. I still need to install it so if you can start the step-by-step from after the installation. If its possilbe if anyone knows how. Thanks in advance

Hi

WinGate will automatically perform routing between any two interfaces that are both deemed to be internal. It will do this with its default configuration, so all you should need to check after installing it is that both interfaces (the ones you want WinGate to route between) are deemed to be internal.

You can override their usage if WinGate thinks they are other than internal.

Apart from that, for routing, all you need is the correct routes to be set up.

Regards
