Are you running WinGate? If so, are you using the WinGate firewall?

If you have the firewall enabled you should only need to open a firewall hole on port 21 (Default) for your FTP server. The rest should be handled by app support in the ENS. However, if your FTP server is running on a different machine, change the hole to a redirect to that server.

Okay first sorry about the caps, second need to specify a few things. One I was a bit confused on the ftp server and wanting to run apache as a server for my web site and having the ftp server configured for file transfer. Being tottaly new to this is not helping. Yes i run wingate and I run the firewall. What was my plan was hosting my clans website from my pc and having seperate hosting of the forums through actually the same company that you have your forums here. After looking in to this further I found that there are two problems I was unaware of. One you need to be able to be seen and found on the net, dns, which in itself require a monetary expense. Second, are there any other plugins for antivirus for the software or is Kapersky the only one. Many things to sort out and with my limited experience iam getting quite lost lol. I do have a domain regestered for my clan. Any guidance would be so greatly appreciated.

Alright, if you have a domain name registered the next (And possibly easiest) step would be to ensure you have a static IP.

If you are on DSL / similar connections most ISPs will do this for you for a low monthly fee. You should then be able to get that domain name pointed at your own IP while the forums go elsewhere.

Alternatively, you can try a web-search for "dynamic DNS" solutions. There are free alternatives which might be suited to what you want to do. (If you don't want to go the static IP route)

What OS are you running currently?

I run xp on the host pc, win/98se on client getting ready to switch at over to xp also. My isp says that they dont do the static ip thing, so thats out. I have looked at the dynamic dsn server but having a domain of my own is a custom service and that means buying a package from them sighhhhhhh. Quite complicated. I am going to have to re think this, the whole idea of having my own domain and using my pc to host my clan web site was too save money seems thats not going to be the case.
