Feature Request

Postby Nev » May 10 06 10:59 pm

Hi all,

Have had to personally switch mail gateways frequently lately due to ISP faults.

It would be handy to have the 'Servers' entry [currently have five entries there] available as a drop down browse entry in the 'Delivery' / 'Gateway Server' field.

Some have special auth requirements and comments so it would be nice to switch remote gateways at a click.

Cheers.

fair enough!

We do it in the domain config... must have overlooked it in the delivery tab.

What I want to do is associate an "ISP mail server" with a gateway in the end, so that depending on what connection you are using, the gateway mail server can adjust. Useful if there are many different dialup accounts.

Hi Adrien,

Access to a reliable gateway is proving difficult with Port 25 now blocked administratively on a public IP which is DNSBL / SORBS!

Would it be possible to have a regime where additional failover for my remote gateway could default to the ISP mailserver if undeliverable?

Scenario:

# Use direct delivery [won't work DNSBL]
# failover-1 ISP gateway [suffering a DoS]
# failover-2 supplier gateway finally delivers mail.

Another one.

In individual services (especially WWW service) I would like to be able to define group A as having system policies applied, but not group B. I can't do that now as system policies are applied (or not) to all groups and users in that individual service. Would this be difficult to implement? This could be done I know using a different WWW proxy or adjusting System policy etc. but, OK,really, I'm lazy.
