Strange things with Java authentication

Postby noname » Jun 23 06 7:11 pm

When I authenticate with Java applet, it takes a lot of time to load the applet and when I enter my login/password I wait about 30 secs while it shows me "Authenticating"... What's the matter? I run WinXP SP1 and Wingate 6.0.4 on server machine with 100baseTX network.

1. You should really upgrade to our latest version so you are not experiencing problems that have already been fixed.

2. Can you confirm it is not a security suite on your computer causing the delay?

3. Is the WinGate server under much load?

4. Have you tried updating your java from www.java.com?

I've got only wingate running on gate mashine, no other software, if you are asking about it. Even no Wingate plugins.

I watched server perfomance - all is OK

I have the latest Java

Thanks for the details.

1. Can you try clearing Internet Explorers cache and try again?

2. Can you try upgrading your installation to 6.1.3; 6.0.4 was released in March 2005. An earlier version license will still be able to be used in our latest installation.

I have problem with java authentication, some user can pass the authentication and access internet but some when do the authentication always have information 'session terminated by wingate' at wingate authentication windows.

Any idea how to solve it?
