Unable to send

Postby shoeb » Jul 03 06 3:15 am

Dear

I am unable to send mails but able to receive mails

We host our pop3 email accounts for our domain on yahoo server and downloads them using outlook using pop.bizmail.yahoo.com and smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com settings in outlook client.

Now i want to use wingate in between this, to download and send emails on behalf of cleints to the servers.

I am able to receive but unable to send with wingate in between yahoo server and my clients.

In Email-Delivery, i specified how to deliver as "Use Gateway" and under Gateway server i specified smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com and Misc Settings-server domain name as fbd.net(which is my domain name)

Are the above settings are right or wrong.

Thanx

Hi Shoeb

Can you please enable debug logging in the SMTP server, and post us a log file showing what's going on?

This should show what problems are being encountered in mail delivery.

Also, make sure that the client machines are using WinGate as their SMTP server.

Also finally, you may need to set WinGate up to authenticate when delivering to yahoo's SMTP server. Did your email clients previously have usernames/passwords when delivering mail?
