Issue with banking through Wingate

Postby ifenton » Jul 13 06 1:50 am

I am using wingate as a proxy and when i connect to a banking site i can get in to the auth but there is a second auth where it downloads an applet after the second auth. bypassing wingate I can get in to the site. Site is HTTPS. I have tested on other HTTPS site and can access them no problem any ideas

Hi,

which version of WinGate are you using? If it's not the latest (6.1.4) could you please upgrade and see if that helps?

Are you able to try a NAT connection? (for more information on client connection methods please see this knowledge base article)

Check your history Window for the clients connections when accessing that website; a request may go to port 80 somewhere and is cached.

GateKeeper --> Caching --> What to cache

Filter 1
This criterion is NOT met if HTTP URL "Contains" mybank.com

Its not recommended to be intercepting 443 (SSL) in the WWW Proxy.
GateKeeper --> WWW Proxy --> Sessions

I have tried all that

Disabled cashing added the url to a filter nothing seems to work. I will post the log files when I get a chance. In the meantime any other suggestions would be welcome

If you cannot use NAT then it is highly probable, that there is something wrong in your WinGate / Network settings; please create a support ticket, reference this forum post and submit the following.

1. WinGate Registry.
GateKeeper --> Options menu --> Advanced --> Save Registry

2. WinGate Config Report
GateKeeper --> Options menu --> Advanced --> Save Config Report

3. ipconfig/all from one LAN Client, and the WinGate Server
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa.txt

4. the banks domain name

Wingate sits on a DMZ which is accessed through the firewall.

I can access the website through wingate from another pc on the DMZ

I can access the website from my lan when I go out my WAN link (firewall) bypassing wingate.

When I try to access the site from LAN to Firewall to Wingate to web site I cannot access.

Sounds like an issue with the firewall right. So why is it when I bypass the wingate but still go through the firewall it works?
