Enabeling Administrator Account

Postby SamirTafesh » Oct 02 06 2:34 pm

Hi

I have a wingate setup and i am managing a network for 30 user
by accident i disabled the administrator account, the engine is still working but i am not able to log on gatekeeper with administrator account since it is disable (even from localhost)
and to my bad luck i did not create any parrallel user having the right to manage users

Is there any way i can re-enable the administrator user without the need to recreate my set-up

thank you

Hi

If you're using WinGate's user database, you can change this in the registry.

1. stop WinGate service
2. edit registry
3. start WinGate again

the key you need to edit is in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\UserDatabase\Administrator

find the value called "AccountEnabled" and set it to value of 1.
