Wingate 6.2.0 incoming SMTP problems

Postby probinson » Dec 13 06 11:16 pm

Hi,

I've had problems since upgrading to 6.2.0.

My (full debugging) SMTP log persistantly shows 'Failed to move message nnnnnnn with reason 32' (nnnnnn being message number).

The message (.msg) file remains in the 'holding' folder of wingate/mail/spool.

So far the message files I've looked at HAVE been copied to the destination maibox in any case (or perhaps already). (in my case all messages go to a single mailbox).

This started after 6.2.0 was installed but does not happen to all incomming SMTP messages.

Is there a buuuuuuug?

Regards

Pete

hi Pete

We found an issue with this when "keep copies of sent mail" is selected, and email is destined to a local mailbox. In this case, the copy is not made (giving this error log message). Delivery should still be happening though.

I've got a fixed engine which you're welcome to try if you like.

Hi Adrian,

After this post I discovered the 'failed copy' refered to the message going to the 'sent' folder. This is important for our archiving proceedures so yes please, I would like the fixed engine, but where do I get it?

Regards

I have this same issue, I notice my holding folder is filling up with messages that have already been delivered. I don't have that option selected "save copies of sent" enabled.

I'm going to try the version you listed adrien and see if it fixes. It's not a problem really, just an oddity.
I love Wingate, and it loves me!
