wingate trouble

dear sirs,

i installed wingate 6.0.3 as a client & server. i can browse the web normally, but there're some things i cannot solve :
1. i have trouble to ping to the website. it doesn't have a reply, even it can connect browsing on this website. i don't know the setting to open ICMP protocol on wingate.
2. i use emule software (some kind of peer to peer software), but it said the port that emule used not opened, so it caused a lowid. i also cannot connect to kad's network.
3. some apllication software that needs to connect to network always routes to wingate server. for example, ms sql server become timed out connecting to server and ms outlook cannot connect to exchange server.

how can i solve all this things ??

You need to be setup for the NAT connection method; please check the following knowledge base article for more information.

here's my configuration for wingate server (let's say from internet provider A) :
there're only 1 lan connection which i want to share.
IP address : 192.168.24.1
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.24.200 (this is router IP's)
Primary DNS Server : 202.150.64.21
Secondary DNS Server : 202.150.64.22

in the client, the IP address setting currently obtain directly from DNS server which different class from wingate server. so, the configuration become :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.4.5
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.4.254
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.20
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.20
192.168.2.8
Primary WINS Server . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.20
Secondary WINS Server . . . . . . : 192.168.2.8

with that setting above, i can connect to the internet with internet provider B. but there're more limited connection since firewall was installed. so, i plan to connect the internet through internet provider A which doesn't has firewall software installed. that's why i install wingate.

then, i install WGIC on the client to connect through internet provider A. browsing is ok. but i cannot ping outside such as to www.yahoo.com. the ping doesn't has reply.
there're some conflicts routing for some applications. for instance, sql server cannot connect normally.
do u have any solutions for my problem ??

1. If you do not need any of the specialised functions of the WGIC, then do you really need it installed? You may just want to use NAT and proxies.

2. I presume you have reviewed the knowledge base artlicle I gave a link to? That should be all you need to set up NAT and be able to ping. Please remember that not all domain names will return ping replies; try the ones below:
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ping 210.55.214.36
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ping www.wingate.com

3. I also presume that this is not a DNS problem, or a problem to do with another third party security suite/firewall, or another networking suite that has not been uninstalled properly maybe?

3. ipconfig/all from one LAN Client, and the WinGate Server
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa.txt
