low virtual memory

Greetings,

We have been running 6.2.1 since Feb 21. No problems to speak of. We have a pro license. P4 2800 w/512MB RAM running on 2003 SP1.

Today out of the blue the PC rebooted. In the event log I see that twice today (early this morning and later around lunch) it logged event 26 "Application popup: Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low". The logs show these are the only occurances since Feb 16th when the log was last cleared.

I opened the Task Manager and found Wingate was using at 256MB onf memory on a system with 512MB. I don't recall it ever being that high. As I watched it slowly decreased to about 150MB but is now creeping back up (its at 162MB now).

Any ideas why Wingate is using so much RAM? We current only have 14 users logged on.

I waitied until most users had logged off and gone home. By then Wingate was using 230MB with 4 inavtive uysers logged on. I stopped the WG engine and restarted it. Now it is only using 25MB.

did you ever get an answer to why this happened?
we have started to get a similar thing.
