Wingate and proxy for Imap email Server

Postby StuKeR » Apr 19 07 11:39 pm

Hi!

I'ld like to know if possible to make running wingate serving as a proxy for Imap services. I explain

I've got a linux server that works with imap (thats necessary to have always the emails avaiables in each pc), but In wingate I'vent seen a imap service. I see a pop3 and also a smtp but not a imap. If I configure the pop3 service by port 143 It doesn't work (obvuiously, says that the server answer and unknown reply) and the only way that I've try to make it running is mapping the ip but this way I can't control internet by policies...

Any help please?

Thx in advance!

Which version of WinGate are you using? I believe that 6.2.1 includes the IMAP server. It requires a 6.x or higher license key to be active though, so if you are using an older license key with it you will need to upgrade.

However, when you have configured a mapping, are you using a TCP mapping or do you have an ENS redirect setup?
