Downloading problems...

Postby robertazzo » May 03 07 4:41 am

When I try to download an update greater than 3 MB I received a file the result corrupt .. sometimes the real dimension of it is never the same ...

If I disable the NAT from the client (I set the Router as the gateway ..) the download is ok...

The other services of Wingate doesn't cause any problems...

If you have KAV installed then confirm whether it is causing the problem, if it is, make an exception for the update site.

Yes I have KAV installed but the problem doesn't concerne its update but the normal downloading (drivers, software, etc...)

If I bypass the Wingate server I download with the maximum speed and without any problems...

I am not talking about the KAV updater - I am suggesting for you to take KAV off the proxy that this data is passing through so you can test if it is causing the issue - i.e. narrow down the problem for the forum.

What protocol is it being downloaded with? FTP / HTTP?

So all software over three MB's using the 'X' Protocol fails - correct?
What version of KAV and WinGate are you using?
Have you checked the quarantine tab?
Do the log files indicate any problem?
Is the corrupted file always 25% less than expected? e.g. 4mb download, and the file finishes at 3MB?
Is this a fresh install, or did it suddenly start corrupting - if it was sudden, what changed on your computer that day?

Now I modify the parameter "plugin" under the tab of WWW Proxy server...I have enabled the voice "Drip feed data to client if bigger than 1000 KB" and now all works very quickly
