Hi Adrien,
The error message is simply "Browser Error" and something like I need to adjust my Proxy settings on my browser. But my idea is not to configure the browser with proxy settting since I applied WGIC on each client for tighter control.
Policies on Winsock Redirection Service includes:
User must be authenticated.
I included client's IP where user can logged.
Time schedule is also included as well as Ban list of unwanted sites.
Thanks for your swift reply. I hope we get to nail this one to finalize my recommendation on use of Wingate in our Co.
Cheers!
Also, what do you recommend for our Wingate setup if our ideas are as follows:
Email is everyday 24/7.
Surfing and chat is also everyday but with time schedule.
WGIC will be implemented for good interface authentication.
Our IP provides our Internet and handles our Email server.
Not all employees have Internet connection.
Some employees with Internet must only access email.
While super employees can access both email and web surfing.
Currently, I tried it like this but maybe you have a better idea on how to configure Wingate so that it will run flawlessly.
2 LAN cards, 1 for Router, 1 for LAN
WRS is configured with policies for control of entire LAN on Wingate access.
Transparent Proxy was enabled at port 80 (currently not working), my idea why I use Transparent Proxy is to define time schedule on web surfing only. Since I first tried it by including time schedule on WRS policies, web surfing was controlled and so as our email which should not be the case since our email should be available 24/7.
Email setup (Outlook) is directly connected to internet.
