Assumed user backup

Hi,
I have a problem with the WG server machine and i'll need to move WG server to another machine, can i also backup assumed user by IP ?
Where are the assumption?
I use AD users and i don't want to reenter every 40 IPs again to the new install

Please help me ASAP 'cause i have to do it tomorrow mornig

When you export the registry you should get all the WinGate settings.

GateKeeper - Options - Advanced - Save Registry Settings

I did it last time but no assumed user was imported, i did it 'cause wg has syncronized the ad database before the AD server was on and it deleted all the user, importing the registry didn't help for that even if i resync the user database first.
Can be a nice feature if there isn't on the current release.

You can save the 'assumed user' list with these commands:

NET STOP WINGATEENGINE

REG EXPORT "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software" C:\PROGRA~1\WINGATE\QBIK.REG /Y

NET START WINGATEENGINE

What it does is to create a full registry extract in the default Wingate folder, the resultant file is called 'QBIK.REG'.

Here you will see the 'assumed user' list.

However, I have never had to rely on this idea to import it and all precautions apply about stopping the engine / working with the registry, I would be interested to know if you have success with it. ;-)

Thanks but i can't see in the registry the ip assumption, underdhcp there is only the assumpion by computer name.

The IP assumptions are stored under

HKLM\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\Locations
