That envelope means there is a system message waiting for you in WinGate. Simply open WinGate and goto the system messages tab to stop the envelope blinking.

You could simply stop WinGate from displaying any syslog events in the system messages tab and just record all messages to the system log file.

- Gatekeeer -> Options -> Advanced -> Syslog Options
- Uncheck all options under the title "Display theses syslog events:"

I did some further research on this and there is no way to disable the system message alert.

The system message alert is part of the funcionality of the WinGate Engine Monitor, so to stop the tray icon from flashing when a system message is recorded, you would have to disable the WinGate Engine Monitor itself.

You can turn off the engine monitor by right clicking the tray icon and clicking Exit. This won't effect the funcionality of WinGate as the monitor only provides quick access to administrative tasks. The monitor isn't associated with the actual operation of WinGate.
