Wingate 5.2.2 doesn't hang up the modem after idle period is reached. I've set Wingate's modem idle period to 10 minutes, but some times after all clients have been idle for more than 10 minutes Wingate still doesn't hang up the modem. I've set IdleTrafficLevel to 0x1000 (default was 0x200) and still Wingate doesn't hang up the modem.
Even after all clients are idle, there is still a slight amount of modem activity, but I'm not sure what is causing it...maybe DNS? (I have Win2k DNS enabled). Is IdleTrafficLevel the registry entry that I should tweak? What exactly am I setting when I set it to 0x1000? Is there another registy entry that I should try tweaking?
I'm using 5.2.2 on Win2k sp4. I have dialup modem.
Thanks, Steve
