can you purchase maintenance with WinGate??
Or do you get the 1 year of upgrade protection, then if a new version comes out you are forced to buy the new version??

Yes, you can renew your upgrade protection policy.
To do so costs 25% of the list price of your license when you renew the protection policy before it expires.
It costs 40% of the list price to renew an already expired protection policy.
