Locking Down WWW- Proxy

I currently am using Wingate to run my proxy. I need to keep my proxy secure, and would like to do it the easiest way possible.

I have purchased a concurrent users license, however all my users get their IP's changed on a daily basis.


**Current Status-

Guest account has access to all services but is limited by location.

Is there any way to add entire networks with out manually inputing every IP? For example a full Class C network 230.2.21.1-254

If I am unable to add entire class C addresses, what is the step by step procedure to make users authenticate? I don't have a domain and I don't have any users besides my local admin account on the Wingate Server

I tried Wingate Logon with Java, however i get "No Response on Port" when logging in

To specify IP ranges in policy, you could use "IP address begins with" then specify the first few octets of the IP address. This will cover all IP addresses that start with the specified octets.

e.g.
192.168.0. would cover 192.168.0.0 -> 192.168.0.255
10. would cover 10.0.0.0 -> 10.255.255.255


As for the "No Response on Port" error message you are receiving when trying to login, the Java auth client connects to the Remote Control Service in WinGate to provide authentication.

You will need to bind the Remote Control Service to the network adaptor that your clients are authenticating from so that the connection to the Remote Control Service can be made by the clients.

What Logan could be referring to is in the WWW proxy --> Policies --> %Recipient% --> Advanced --> Specify which requests... --> This Criterion is met --> Client IP Number --> begins with
