Usually it's your ISP's hardware than handles the splitting of upstream and downstream traffic. You should only need to configure WinGate to connect through your sattelite router like it's a typical bidirectional router.

It's likely that you don't have a problem with the splitting of upstream and downstream traffic at all, but instead some other configuration differences in WinGate 6.x.

If you create a new support ticket in the online helpdesk and include the following information from your WinGate 6.x installation, I'd be happy to provide you with further assistance there.

1. WinGate Registry
GateKeeper --> Options menu --> Advanced --> Save Registry

2. WinGate Config Report
GateKeeper --> Options menu --> Advanced --> Save Config Report

3. ipconfig/all from one LAN Client
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa-client.txt

4. ipconfig/all from the WinGate Server
(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa-server.txt
