Scheduler:

Postby swanfalcon » Sep 19 08 3:32 am

Hi,

I'm experiencing some trouble with the WinGate Scheduler since I've connected a client machine to my WinGate Server System on Tuesday, although the several changes I've made to set up the client in order to use the Internet didn't affect the Scheduler at all.

For the second time this morning since Tuesday the Scheduler doesn't update the Kaspersky Plug in automatically anymore. I'm used to a flashing envelope which indicates in the System Messages that the update process has been initiated and completed successfully. A manual update is still possible, but it isn't a good solution in the long run.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Peter,

Think I have seen that one.

Totally from memory:

    De-activate the licence
    Uninstall/Re-install KAV

But I could be wrong as it was a long time ago.

Just had a second thought, try replacing the Scheduled task first, that might toggle it into action?

Hi Nev,

Thank you for your approach, but both possibilities did not work.

Can't think of anything else myself. Like I've mentioned before: The manual update process still functions. To secure my network I will do it manually as long as I have to. Maybe you or somebody else has a different approach in the mean time?

Regards,

Peter

How about using the Windows Scheduler to execute the manual updater regularly?
