WinGate in VPN

Hi All,

We are having three offices connected thru Linksys VPN routers. We want to install WinGate in only one office. I had downloaded trail version but I had found following problems"

1. I am not able to get / ping our other offices machines
2. I am able not able to connect to our VPN router.

If you want to use Wingate as a node in Liksys VPN network, it is not going to work. Wingate uses its own, proprietary VPN protocol.

so you have a linksys VPN set up and you want to access a remote WinGate over that VPN?

Do you have any normal VPN connectivity? This sounds like a linksys VPN configuration problem, which I'm not familiar enough with to help much on.

No, At present, We are using VPN connection. We had used three Linksys RV016 routers and for security issue, We dont want to touch that setup.

I want to install Wingate on one machine before our VPN router. But I am also will that win gate will not effect any VPN traffic as well as Domain controller setup.

Hi

When you say "before" the VPN router, do you mean before when coming in from the internet, or before when going out from the LAN?

If the WinGate is on the internet-side of the VPN router, then the VPN tunnel needs to go through WinGate, therefore it really needs to use either GRE/PPTP or UDP for tunneling.
