HELP WITH DHCP SERVICE [FIXED]

Hello, my name is Boney Collins and i'm new to this software.
I'm trying to make a managed network with this software cause the internet link gets saturated by the workers.
I can't make the dhcp service work. I configured the NICS correctly... have a switch with just the two computers. and the uplink on the other nic.
If I setup the ip statically with the gateway and dns tothe wingate server... i have internet conection...

Plz help really appreciated

Is the Windows Firewall enabled on your WinGate server, or are there any third part firewalls installed? Other firewalls on the WinGate computer can block network traffic (such as DHCP requests) before it can reach WinGate.

No there is nothing... no firewall and no other software installes.... tried in windows xp sp3 and windows 2003 server (dual boot)... same result no dhcp....

Been all day long with this things... im really confussed cause it is supose to be push the play and thats it.... just connect the internal card to the switch and thats it....

are there any scopes configured in the DHCP server?

Can you create a support ticket with the help desk and include your config file.
GateKeeper --> Options menu --> Advanced --> Save Registry

Ok.. I'm so happy cause i found the problem. I just reformatted the computer the is for wingate, I installed and the same trouble with DHCP, i found in some page to disable by registry the ICS, and now the DHCP works right away.

Thx so much for the help, now i have some other questions. I have a w2003 server that need remote access. So my thinking is that i have double nat.... what do i have to do...

Because it's double NAT, you need to forward your required ports in both NAT routers. First, forward the required port from the Internet Router to the WinGate computer, then forward the same port from WinGate to the client computer on your local network.

Since we don't know what type of internet router you have, we can't help you there, but here's a quick guide on forwarding ports in WinGate.

1. GateKeeper -> System -> Extended Networking -> Port Security
2. Click Add
3. Enter a description for the port forward
4. Select Internet computers to the WinGate PC
5. Select TCP and/or UDP as required
6. Enter the port range as required
7. Select 'Redirect Packet to IP address'
8. Enter the IP address of the computer that you want to forward the packet to
9. Since these packets are from the internet, select 'Don't translate source IP'
10. Click OK, then click Apply to finalise the change
