TCP Map on port 1025 Fails

Postby HaysTravel » Jan 06 04 6:52 am

We have an application that requires us to TCP map to an IP address using port 1025. When trying to start the service in the control panel the following message appears and the service fails to start.

Object: My Object Name
Time: 05-Jan-2004 17:42:57
Message ID: 0506
Description: Service startup complete or partial failure - Check your bindings

If I change the service port in Startup options to another number the service starts OK.
Please can you explain why I am having a problem with 1025 - it worked on a previous version of Wingate.
We are running XP Pro

Thanks in advance

It sounds as if the port is already in use. Do you run the application on the WinGate machine itself ?
