Problems With blocked users

Postby bariolatino1 » May 21 09 2:13 am

Hi,

I have a wingate server 6.5.2 with users blocked in monitoring on a website and the second on line incresing, end increasing always. It is impossible for me to kill this users by terminate session. The only way is to kill wingate and restart it.

All users are blocked after 14400 seconds on line and this problematic users have a counter at 80000 s and they are blocked without possibility of surfing.

I have only assumed users with IP and no NTML Auth.

Thanks for your help.

It is possible for a user to have a seconds on line which is over and above the amount of seconds when the user gets blocked. This is because time spent attempting to connect through WinGate while being blocked also counts towards the users total amount of seconds on line. Other services which might not be blocked can also contribute to further seconds on line, such as DNS or Email.

Hi, thanks for your response, i understand that if blocked user test his internet connection the amount of second on line increase, i can see it on many users limited to 14400 sec on line and the amount is 14500.... But the problem appear from other limited too and having an amount to 80000s or 213000 s and if you look monitoring a page is blocked for this user whithout possibility to terminate session the one way is to kill and restart wingate. The is no other service running, only WWW DNS, email aren't used. All other services are stopped.

could you create a zip file of your logs folder and send it to support@qbik.com. the logs should show me where the extra seconds are coming from.
