Server html GET request on port 80 fails

Postby shm » Jan 07 04 4:53 am

I have a server app that uses an html GET to an outside server on port 80. Worked with Wingate 4.x but as of version 5->5.22 no reply comes back on the tcp port, just times out. Server is non-windows, not using wgic. Any special way to get through the www proxy with tcp?

Is this app running on the WinGate server itself or from a client machine behind it ? Do you have any data scanning plugins enabled ?

The easiest way to debug this would be to turn on debug logging in the WWW proxy, DNS Resolver and DNS Service and then attempt this. Then, if you could email me the portions of those three log files that apply to that connection (Or post them to the forum) we can go from there.
