Problem with Basic Authentication

Postby FrNbgMu » Sep 14 09 7:40 pm

Hello,

we discover a very strange problem and right now we have no idea how to figure it out.

We change the authentication on the wingate from the java authentication to the basic authentication.

Everything seems to be working fine, the user got a login to the wingate, he can use his credential and you see on the wingate console that he is autenticated by the basic authentication. You can browse some sites but only if the site is in the cache. But if you try to request a new site you can see this on the wingate and the browser from the user seems to be getting the site (the adressbar change) but nothing is happen you wait and wait and get not the site.

If i change the authentication back to Java everything is fine again.

You have a idea what is wrong?

Thanks

Frank

Hi Frank,

I've reproduced this problem in our test lab and am looking into it now.

Hi Frank

I just posted you a few emails, one with a link to a new download that should solve this issue.
