Accessing an external win2k server/Remote desktop/XP Pro

We have Wingate 4.5.2 STD 25 Users in our Win NT Server SP5 and I am trying to connect from an internal client Windows Xp computer to an external Win2K Server using Remote Desktop but I can´t do it.

We mapped a TCP mapping service to the port 3389 without results. Could you please give us an idea what to do ? is there an article about this ?
(We use ADSL- 512K)

P.d.- I can connect by phone from that Win - XP pc to that External Server with Remote Desktop.

Hi,

Do you have Extended Networking enabled? If so then you can try and open port 3389 (UDP) in the firewall, you can also map it to the pc that is trying to connect to the remote pc.
