Shared bandwidth limiting

Apologies in advance if this seems a bit of a numpty thread!
We have a broadband intewrnet connection currently shared via internal infrastructure between the 11 flats in our block. Unfortunately we seem to have 1 or 2 selfish users. Our ISP allows a max download limit of 100 Gigabytes per month and 1 or 2 users seem to be using 90% which means that we regularly have no internet connection towards the end of the month.
We are looking for a solution that will limit users download to 10 Gig per month and wondered if Wingate can accomplish this and if so a brief outline of how so i can doanload the trail and try it out before committing.

Hi Mac,

Welcome!

Yes Wingate is what you need, you can install and trial it for free from the home page.

What I would do is authenticate all users' in your building and have them login to the Wingate pc Server and gain Internet access.

Next for each user, set a credit amount of usage per month equalling the allocation in the User Properties and Accounting Tab.
