Yes, this is how it is set up ...router forwarded on port 80 to local wingate server which is set on port 8080 since it cannot be setup on same port as webserver I get a conflict.

I have set up a mailbox on my wingate server POP/SMTP = webbspot.com
and account/user name = "test"
password "test" if someone can give it a try with there mail program and see what errors you get report trying to send or receive mail from that account would be appreciated. As a side NOTE I have also added to my HOSTS file my gateway TCP gateway IP:
192.168.0.1 webbspot.com
192.168.0.1 www.webbspot.com

Hi

webbspot.com does not resolve with DNS to any address, there's only an SOA record (start of authority - tells us who is authoritative for the domain).

http://www.webbspot.com does resolve.

I can connect to http://www.webbspot.com on ports 110, 25 and 80. However the web page I get back looks like an electronic cigarette making company. There's no visible webmail login. Is that you?

I was able to log into that POP3 account with user/pass of test/test

So if your iPad can't connect, it's most likely something to do with the TCP/IP configuration it gets when it's outside your network.

Thanks Adrien for testing and The CigFactory is my business. You are right that MX records show www.webbspot.com to be registered. Inside wingate/System/Email in the Domains area I have assigned webbspot.com and www.webbspot.com as Domains so I can use both if I wish which works locally for email. Could you send and recieve email to the Test account?

By the way Merry Christmas to Everyone.

Hi

I didn't try sending and receiving, but the fact that I was able to resolve the IP and connect on port 25/110/80 and auth with those details means your network setup is correct.

That then leads back to the TCP/IP configuration your iPad gets given when it's outside your network.

Is the iPad able to browse anywhere else?
