The situation:
PC with 2 NICs, one for LAN + ADSL, the other for 'guests'.
WinGate is supposed to limit the guests internet access to a certian quota.
The problem:
When guests connect to the second NIC using a cable (to the switch) a wingate-DHCP address is alloceted fine.
However, if they connect through a WAP which also lives on teh same segment as the switch and second NIC, the request apears in the DHCP monitor as 'Offered', but the workstation never actually picks is up.
Blame the WAP?!
DHCP across the WAP is actually working fine on the other segment (NIC2) where the DSL router is dishing out addresses.
What could be different to the WinGate DHCP server as opposed to teh ADSL DHCP server? And how can this be reconfigured?
Kind regards,
