Need to know limitation

Hi,

Well i use:

AMD 750 Mhz, with 256SDRAM under Windows XP Pro.
I want to know what is the max. of the Cache size i can use
before the computer/wingate become slow?

I now have under my cache 1Gbyte ie (2 CDROM size)
and still OK.....

Hi,

You'll probably find that once the cache file gets as big as 1 GB performance starts to degrade, as it would be quicker to simply download a new file than look through 1 GB of stored files. Is there any particular reason you would want a cache bigger than the one you have now?

Well i have now in the cache 102000 files, and size of all is 1Gb.
Why my cache is so big? Well my provider count all in/out packets.
and need to pay them. I know, it's not normal, but here in Madagascar it's as it.....

Well even with 1Gb, today, all seems to be quite fast...
