Just upgraded to wingate 7. Internet and external mail access stopped working. It's dns related but I have no idea how to repair it or why it worked in 6 and not in 7.
Microsoft set up our dns a while back. inhouse dhcp and dns server. wingate had no dns settings. All machines pointed to our inhouse dns server. I was able to get internet access again by adding an external dns client entry pointing to our isp's dns. But no client can resolve any addresses. Even the wingate hosting machine cannot resolve addresses in the cmd window (although the browser works O.o)
Does wingate 7 upgrade install perhaps set something dns related or not import settings correctly? I don't want to start hacking it all up because I had no idea what microsoft techs were doing when they set up our dns the way it is now and I'm afraid I'll bury myself if I start messing with it. Hoping it's something simple like ("oh yes, 7 upgrade bug sets this or that.. just uncheck this or that")
