Thank you for your information.

However, would upgrading the Wingate software rectify this issue?

Hi

it's likely moving to 6.6.4 will fix it, however we fixed a bunch of bugs between 6.6.4 and 7.x as well. 6.6.4 dates from October 2009, so it's nearly 3 years old.

6.2.2 is from July 2007.

Normally when you see in a log file "unknown exception", that indicates some sort of bug in WinGate. So, you'd need to update and see if it still happens, then we can go from there.

Thank you very much Adren.

Prior to the update, may I know if there are any specific data I have to backup before proceeding with the update?
Also, would there be a long downtime?
Gotta plan ahead of this as my connection within the office involves more than 300+ connections.

Thanks again,
Robert

Hi

6.2.2 -> 6.4.4 is just an install over the top. Even if you had to roll back, the settings are all compatible.

So downtime would be about the time it takes to run the install (3 min) and reboot.

Moving to 7 I wouldn't recommend on a site that large without doing some testing with 7 first to familiarize yourself with it, it's quite different.
