Wingate and SMTP auth

When will we get a version with SMTP auth implemented?
At the moment I have massiv problems sending my mails because my ISP SMTP server requires SMTP auth. The workaround I use at the moment is Mercury and wingate as SMTP Proxy. But this should be solved ASAP because I want to use wingates local E-Mail account etc...

SMTP auth is currently in development, and will be in the next major release we do.

OK - that's what I know from reading old post here. Could you perhaps give us a rough estimate when this major version will be released?

Unfortunately we do not have a time frame for this next major release just yet. Lets say you should be thinking months rather than weeks though.
