Upgrading to New location while retaining settings?

Hi I want to move the installation of Wingate fro C: drive to D: drive then upgrade to latest version. Currently on 5.0.4(Build 810). Is this as simple as Copying the Wingate folder D drive, Uninstallling, and tehn running the upgrade pointing it at the new location of Wingate folder? Will this work? Will it retain settings? Thanks for any advice.

That 'should' work. I'd recommend backing up the registry for WinGate (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate) first.

You should also go through the setup once you have installed it and ensure that all the appropriate folders (Such as History Logging Path) and so on are set appropriately.
