WinGate and Steam

Postby Gamer » Feb 07 14 7:50 pm

Hi,

I'm new to using WinGate. I want to be able to allow Steam access to the Internet through WinGate, I was hoping to use a TCP Port Mapper service, but this seems to only allow one port to be mapped, whereas Steam requires 50 ports ranging from 27000-27050 inclusive plus UDP 4380. Steam's KB is here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8571-GLVN-8711

Please, can anyone advise me on how to allow Steam access?

Many thanks in advance.

Okay, finally got some understanding. Steam cannot work with a proxy. So, something like Proxifier must be used.
