Hi Qbik Wingate Teams.

Few question related to Web Access Rules.

1. Is there any different in term of speed/performance using Web Access Rules OR Policy chart?
(for web filtering+user/group policy)

2. Is Web Access Rules filter SSL connection? or need to setup SSL web filtering using policy chart?

3. Related to DNS.
what causes this log warning message in global log - "response code 3 (NXNAME) from 208.67.222.222, processing aborted "

Hi

actually I think in general web access rules could be slightly quicker. Depending on other things though like manual classifier rules. Flow-chart gives you more data you can use to optimise.

https requests (CONNECT, and/or https inspection) go through the web access rules as well, so you don't need a separate ruleset.

that DNS error just means some lookup returned that the name did not exist (NX = no such NAME). It happens all the time in DNS. It's only of concern if it's a domain you know exists.
