HTTP caches are paused (Can't unpause)

Postby Talicada » Sep 03 14 6:46 pm

I've restarted my server, got a new license. Neither have fixed the issue that I can't unpause any old or new caches.

Hi

to have more than 1 cache volume unpaused you need an Enterprise license - multi cache volumes is an enterprise feature.

So are any of the volumes unpaused? Or are they all paused?

I'm aware. But the first one is offline because the hard drive associated with it is no longer available and I can't remove it by deleting it. None are unpaused, all new are paused. Current license is free.

Hi

OK, so the real problem is you can't delete the volume that's offline.

You should be able to delete this from the registry.

1. Stop WinGate service
2. Open Regedit.exe

on 32 bit windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Qbik Software\WinGate\Cache\Volumes
on 64 bit windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Qbik Software\WinGate\Cache\Volumes

Find the key that has the BasePath value in it corresponding to the offline volume and delete the key

3. Start WinGate

the volume should now be gone and you can unpause one of the others. I'll get the issue checked about deleting offline / unavailable volumes.
