WGIC incompatible version error?

Postby Diessence » Mar 16 04 12:54 pm

For some reason the WGIC seems to work sometimes but more often not work. I get two dialog boxes coming up. One titled:
Wingate Internet Client - IEXPLORER.EXE
with the error message
"This version of the Wingate Internet Client is not compatible with this Wingate Server. You may need to upgrade to a more recent version."

and the other dialog box titled:
Login Failed: IEXPLORER.EXE
with the error message:
"The username or password provided could not be validated by Wingate. You may not have access to the Wingate server."

When i recieve these messages it never prompts me for a user/pass. If i look in Gatekeeper I can see it is just sending an assumed user pass of "Guest" or "Administrator". It just seems to pick one randomly.

I have WRP, DNS and ENS all set to only allow authorized use. I also have the "users" system polices set to authorized use only.

I also have the "Redirect ENS and WGIC sessions" checked in the WWW proxy server.

Ive tried interchanging all of these settings but nothings seems to work stabley. Im assuming something is either wrong with the WGI client or ive misconfigured something. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is starting to get quite frustrating.
