Can't connect to GateKeeper

Hello everyone,

Now i have searched this forum before i post this treath, i have find that others have my problem i have tryed everithing but did not soved my problem.

I have download and install the latest WinGate 5.2.3 the instalation was successful, i have clicked on the small icon on the try and GateKepper started i click on "go online" but i got this message error "There was a problem connection to the server. Connection refuzed by the server. Check your server name and port number."
I have reinstal the program and the same thing, i have install the program on other computer and the same thing, i have a localserver Apache (i have instaled PHPDEV 4.23) but i have stopped this too and stil can't connect to gatekeeper, i have kaspersky antivirus not the pulgin for the wingate i have stopped that too and did not solved my problem.

Can anyone help me please i run Windows XP, i have a local network of 5 PC and 2 swiches my PC is connected trough internet from a radio conection.

Hi,
I had the same problem this morning, but i saved my Registry.
Try to delete your Wingate's keys in the Registry (HKLM/Software/Qbik.../) after having deleted your wingate's software.
Then try to reinstal the program...

In the current release version there is a conflict between the shim DLL for VisNetic AntiVirus and any other Kaspersky products installed. If you are NOT planning on using VisNetic Antivirus, you can remove a registry key that will help you get going.

All the usual warnings to editing the registry apply - so be sure you have a backup / system restore point.

Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
Qbik Software
WinGate
Data Scanning Plugins
Installed

Once there, delete the key called "AntiVirus".

What I would recommend is that you backup (export) that key first, in-case you need to restore it at a later date.

Thanks this worled you are realy good, but my server Apache and PHP not working after dooing this i must restat once again probalby is other reaseon.
This is a question off the record "My net provider (ISP) will know that i connect more that 1 PC to my connection, i have a network on 5 PC and i have internet cable in my PC i want to give it to others trough my PC the question is if the ISP will know if i give it to others ?"
