Invalid User Name or Password

Wingate dials the internet but there is always an error message stating that the User Name or Password is invalid, yet the same User Name and Password works fine if dialing directly thru the ISP (Juno). Any ideas?

you should check the status of your encrypted password's parameters!

I use a nonprotected password and it works fine, but if you have to use a protected password, maybe you can't directly dial the internet with wingate...

Hi there

Have you tried re-configuring the user name and password details in the properties of the dialup connection in the dialer configuration in WinGate?

If you go to GateKeeper>Dialer> highlight the connection and click on the properties button.

WinGate by default does not hold the user name and password when it scans the machine intially for available dialup connections to put on its list, so you have to renenter the User/pass details within GateKeeper.
