Wingate & MSN ?? how to ?

Hi,
use wingate for abou 5 years,
I have the last wingate 5.2.3 (build 901).. and a problem..
on the wingate machine (2000 server) can use MSN-messenger
fully...
but I cannot use MSN on the client machine...
I try to set MSN messenger to use proxy hhtp server on wingate port...
but nothing !

I try to set on the client host the string:
gateway.messenger.hotmail.com pointing to the wingate server...
and on the wingate server I have mapped a TCP port 1863 on the same external address...
but nothing !

someone use MSN ona local lan through wingate.... ?????
first of all a simply MSN connection (no video or audio) is welcome !!!!
