Make sure that you in fact have Wingate 5.2.3 Build 901 installed (before complaining). I downloaded it a day or two after its release was announced, but it seems like the actual setup file WgSetup.exe was still the older 5.2.2 build 892 on the server at the time. In gatekeeper, use System info to make sure that you installed the newer version.
I just re-downloaded 5.2.3 and the file size is now different than the one I downloaded previously.

I have a problem witn Wingate Pro:
5.2.2 works fine;
after the upgrade to 5.2.3. [901] serious problems [dns];
after uninstall 5.2.3. and re-install 5.2.2.: no problem
We use W-XP-pro.

Wingate 5.2.3 definately still has issues.
1) Something between the caching, the DNS lookup caching, and DNS is still not working properly. It works for a while and then starts giving internal server errors HTTP500, and HTTP 404's. I diabled all caching and it works a bit better and longer. Also seems faster.
2) FTP uploading and downloading is a big problem, especially big files like 1MB ...

about caching i set up 20 filters each with one crirerion like http resorce contains.html or .wmv or .gif and my caching is great with no problems
as far as ftp i agree there is something wrong... i am not talking about downloading files from ftp sites which works fine ( ofcourse in client's browsers i long ago replaced port 21 with 80 for ftp since otherwise it always give the massege 220 wingate gatewaY ready). anyway i am refering to uploading ftp files. i use ws_ftp client aND i couldn't get it to work but with using nat, so anyone knows a solution to this ftp problem?

weird, i tried it and i got download a file while putting the ip opened the site, i also have wingate 5.2.3. i tried it on a client machine and on the server. since this happened on the server machine too then i assume than wingate dns has nothing to do with it. besides wingate dns never caused any problems that i know of before..
