Yes it is!

Easiest system wide method:

Apply a system policy that users must be at least assumed.

Apply a system policy and ban list for example 'xyz' to be banned.

In all services apply 'Must also be granted' from the global system policy works really well, nothing with 'xyz' will be granted.

The beauty of the System policy is that it's easy to implement in a service with the front pull down box.

Good luck,
Nev.

Hmmm, quite a tough one!

Is t/r [transparent redirection] enabled in the WWW proxy?

Last idea what happens if you redirect them using the Non proxy request option?

Other than that....

i've use transparent redirection so it's easy to configure at user client machine and not to much setting :)
if i use 'no proxies' and 'use proxies' on yahoo setting, it can not online anymore coz i've block yahoo server ip. but if i change to 'firewall with no proxies', yahoo messenger is still can online eventhough i've block it's server URL (if using 'firewall with no proxies')...
any idea? :)

I did it using ENS ban-list in combination with HOSTS file.

If you have transparent redirection on, that is good.
In the ENS Service properties, add to the ban list
the IP address of the yahoo messenger and
msn messenger servers.

In the host file, redirect the server names to 127.0.0.1

Make sure to set Default Rights (System Policies) to : are ignored.

This worked for me successfully.

Down the left, in the control section, under System you will find Extended Networking. This is the ENS.

Provided you installed ENS when you installed wingate
