Can not see files on Host system

Postby fred » Jun 10 04 4:43 am

Hi,

I have installed WinGate VPN 1.2.3 without any problems.
I can connect to the Host with out any problems.
When I try to Ping it times out.
When I use look at the Remotely Accessible Networks (VPN) I can see the Hosts WorkGroup / Computer Name but after it does its "Testing..." it tells me that the computer is "Not Accessible"

If I use the built in windows "Accept Incomming Calls / Connect to" VPN I can see the files.

What am I missing?

Thanks
fred

What address are you pinging

What are the relative ip ranges of the server and client and what is the MTU set to

Can not see files on Host system

>>What address are you pinging

I use a service that updates my ISP's IP address to a username.no-ip.com address ... This will ping without any problems. When I try to ping the computers actual IP address (10.0.0.1) it times out.

>>What are the relative ip ranges of the server and client and what is the MTU set to

The host IP is 10.0.0.1 and the client is 192.168.2.200
As for the MTU I have no idea. I will have to check this tonight.
To check the MTU (if I have understood the other posts) do I use the ping -l #### command?

If it is an MTU issue, how do I adjust the MTU setting?

Thanks.

Go here and get drTCP and set 1350 in the MTU box, save and reboot
