FTP Read Only Access & e-mail can send but not receive

I can connect to our webserver's FTP site but IE tells me the proxy is configured to Read ONLY access.?? How do I change this.

I have managed to get my client machines sending e-mail by setting the outbound mail server as the IP address of the server machine. Wingate is running the SMTP Proxy. I am unable to get the Clients to receive incoming mail.

Lastly, the antivirus does not seem to have any way of a manual virus update(and it hasn't updated automaticaly) and the manuals are vague to say the least..

I also have this problem regarding mails, I can only send but i cannot recieve anything when i try to reply on my e-mail.

Anyone from Qbik can help us regarding this problem

I have been able to receive e-mail but the SMTP keeps telling me I have the incorrect user/pass. I am using user#mail.server.com as the username format & the outbound mailserver as wingates IP. No luck still with IE & ftp-ing. P.S. I'm using ftp://user:pass@ftp.server.com format in IE
