I cant receive any email from my account in Wingate

Postby VerDGull » Jun 16 04 6:40 pm

Im using Wingate 5.2.3, and I enabled email services, I created a domain and an account, thats it, all of the configuration are in the default, I configured also the Ms Outlook and set address of my mail server (SMTP, POP3).

There is no problem when it comes to sending, I can send to any regular emial addresses such as yahoo and hotmail but when i try to repply or send email to wingate enabled email account I receive a mailer-deamon saying "Connot Find Host Name DomainName.com", why is this possible i just follow the instruction in Resources Mail Scenario 1, where it sez der that when i send an email, wingate will look for the domain of the email address of the receipient and when the reciepient repplies it will look for wingate to send it to my account.

Well actually im kinda new in using wingate so im not so familliar with this kinda stuff, please anyone can help me about this matter, specially those staff from Qbik's

Thanks in avance!!!

Hmm think I understand.

Add the name of the server [could be Wingate?] as a domain in the email tab.

Add the names of the users to the NT user base eg:

bob, mary, fred.

Add those users to the mailbox listed for users in Wingate.

Bob, mary and fred can now share POP mail now via wingate eg:
Bob@wingate

Is that the idea?

thanks for the concern Nev

But I already did that, my domain is plp.edu.ph, and i already add some users (e.g. verdgull@plp.edu.ph), all of the properties is at the default.

I can send an email using this account (verdgull@plp.edu.ph) to my other email account in yahoo and hotmail but the problem is when i try to repply i recieve a mailer-deamon saying it cant find the domain name plp.edu.ph, what should i do.

Please Help!

THANKS!!!

I have checked several places and can find no DNS record for plp.edu.ph.

If no DNS record exists there's no way to receive email.

Is this domain registered in the Philippines?

While I don't think it's possible, POP is not an area I'm really familiar with.

Any POP users feel free to help us out.
