want to ban MSN and Yahoo messenger from my office Lan.

Drea Friends,

I am using wingate in my office as internet connection sharing . I have a problem , I want to ban the MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger from some computer. Plz tell me how I can do this .?

The easiest way to do this is through the WinGate Internet Client centralised configuration. There, you can specify which applications are allowed to run. (Providing they require internet / network access)

However, this will only help if you're using the WinGate Internet Client. If not, monitor the requests going through WinGate to see what the destinations, etc. are. You can then setup appropriate restrictions in the Policies to block this traffic.
