Hi
The multiple interface support in WinGate prior to Beta 3 was not really optimal. It relied on setting the source IP address on connections out, however outbound packets would still be sent out the same default route. It really only worked for incoming packets.
When we then changed over to the dynamic binding system in Beta 3, the Interfaces configuration in WinGate, which was dependent on the previous binding system, came into question. The first problem was that the concept of Interfaces was a bit flawed, and the second problem was that the information it required, was changed.
So we decided to remove the support for multiple external connections until we could do it properly.
To this extent, we are working on a new system for this, which will take into account other kinds of internet connections (i.e. multiple next hop options on a single interface), and work a lot better.
We didn't think many people were using this feature in WinGate, so I apologise for the inconvenience. This is the first time we have ever removed functionality from WinGate. We do have solid plans for a replacement.
So how exactly are you using the two connections? Are you rotating connections or do you have specific services bound to specific outbound interfaces?
